Empty Tuesday at two

Saturday morning fills itself. Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday at ten, Thursday at one. That's where a club's profitability is decided.

A booking system shows you the slot is free. That's all it can do. It has nobody to tell and nothing to offer them.

For an empty slot to fill, three things have to happen at once: someone has to hear about it, they have to have someone to play with, and it has to be a game worth showing up for. Community and rating solve those three. A calendar doesn't.

A rating that's verified, predictable and easy to understand

Verified

A level is computed from matches played, not from self assessment. It's built on the same statistical matchmaking that online games use worldwide. A new player starts with a short questionnaire, but a few matches later the data corrects it. A level can't be bought or self assigned.

Predictable

Every level shows how confident it is. The first few matches swing it, after fifteen it settles, after thirty it's stable. You can see that at a glance and know when the number is safe to seed a tournament with.

Understandable

One number from 1.0 to 7.0. No points, no divisions, no table to decode. A player knows what 3.4 means and who they'll get a real game against. And because the level is free for everyone on Ace, it works across clubs, cities and countries. When a player comes to you from another club, their level comes with them.

A tournament opened for level 3.0 to 4.0 fills with players who'll actually match up. An open match doesn't end with one player crushing the rest and nobody coming back. A close match is the one marketing activity that repeats itself.
